你小子承担不了真相

看到李世春老师的博文《虎归山，人归真：陕省政府要揭开周老虎的红盖头 》中说“虎照真假最重要”。我忽然记起在Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson和Demi Moore在1992年主演的电影《A Few Good Man》中的经典片段中Nicholson饰演的上校对Tom Cruise饰演的军法律师说的那句经典台词：

You can't handle the truth!

上校不是不肯告诉Tom Cruise真相，而是认为Tom Cruise不能承担真相的后果。

自以为重要的和在为人民服务的领导们往往就是这个思路。

不过片段最后Tom Cruise的台词最解气。在Nicholson饰演的Jessup上校当众说出真相被宣布被逮捕之后暴跳如雷，Tom Cruise教训他说：

Don't call me son. I'm a lawyer and an officer in the United States Navy. You are under arrest. You son of the bitch! (别叫我小子。我是美国海军的律师和军官。你被逮捕了。你这个狗娘养的！)

Nicholson: You want answers?

Cruise: I think I'm entitled.

Cruise: I want the truth!!

Nicholson: You can’t handle the truth!
Son, we're living in a world who has walls.

You don’t want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about it in parties.

We use words like honor –code – loyalty,
We use these words as a backbone of a life spends defending something!
You use 'em as a punch line!
And I have neither the time, nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the  manner in which I provide it. I would rather if you just say thank you and went on your way!
Otherwise I suggest that you pick up a weapon and stand the post!!
Either way, I don't give a damm what you think you are entitled to…

Cruise: Did you order the Code Red?
 
Nicholson: I did the job…..
 
Cruise: Did you order the  Code Red?!!!

Nicholson: You are goddamn right, I did!!!
